Chris Jordaan (Founder) started in the vibration field in 1981 at AEC (Pelindaba) as a junior Balancing/Condition Monitoring Technician, qualifying himself in 1985. Since 1994 he worked for Demag as Balancing Technician on various Turbo Machines and doing Machine, Field Balancing and Laser Alignment, eventually founding his own comapny , Bal-Tec in 1999. Jacques Jordaan joined Bal-Tec in 2011 and qualified himself as a Vibration Analyst. Marius joined in 2017 as a Qualified and Tradesman and Technician. Jacques and Marius manage the Inland branch where the head office is situated in Brits, North West. In 2019, Chris opened the Coastal branch of Bal-Tec. The offices are situated in Mossel Bay, Southern Cape.
